  • The Marel Template Slicing Machine (TSM) cuts non-frozen fillets or butterflies into portions of certain weight & shape defined by chosen templates or moulds. The result is a value-added identical product plus trimmings. The incoming raw material is from a range of natural breast meat, which is substantially larger than the resulting product. Uncut product is handfed into a conveyor consisting of portion template moulds. One or two operators are needed for maximum capacity. Product is placed in the moulds and a vacuum holds the pieces in place. The machine can cut single fillets as well as butterflies using different moulds. The dimensions of the unit are: 154"L x 42"W x 53"H. The throughput is 35 butterflies/min or 70 fillets/min. The belt speed is 35 platforms/min. The end result is uniform product with an accuracy of up to ± 3-5 g for portions up to 100 g and ± 4-7 g for larger portions based on 1 stdev. Different portion sizes can be acquired by replacing the moulds. Custom made moulds with special weights and shapes are available to suit different requirements. Factory warranty is included with unit.
