Prior to joining EquipNet, Mr. Gallo was the CEO & President of UIS, Inc. where he oversaw the transformation of a printing company into three distinct businesses; Uniform Information Services - an internet based legal publishing company of regulatory databases that helped companies manage the complexity of regulatory information, B2E Resource - a print and supply management company that utilized a dynamic web based catalog to help Fortune 1000 companies maximize efficiencies of their internal corporate purchasing needs, and Formcenter - a catalog based direct marketing business targeting specific software based vertical markets. Mr. Gallo served as the lead person in raising both private equity and mezzanine financing and led several acquisitions creating significant value. Mr. Gallo led the exit process of all three businesses, which were sold in separate transactions in October 2001, November 2001 and January 2002. Prior to UIS, Mr. Gallo worked as an analyst for PaineWebber in investment banking. Mr. Gallo has a BA from Claremont McKenna College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Mr. Cote was formerly Vice President of National Accounts for HealthStar,
Inc., overseeing relationships with large accounts that include Proctor &
Gamble, Warner-Lambert, Glaxo Wellcome, Smith Kline Beecham, and Bayer Corporation.
Prior to HealthStar, Mr. Cote spent 10 years at Mobil Oil Corporation in a
variety of management positions including District Wholesale Manager, Area
Manager and Real Estate Manager. Mr. Cote has a Bachelor of Science in Management
with a minor in Marketing from Northeastern University.
Mr. Elliot has more than 20 years experience buying and selling idle capital assets in the consumer products and pharmaceutical industries. He has managed more than 50 plant liquidations, including more than 25 auctions. Prior to joining EquipNet, Mr. Elliot owned and operated Elliot & Associates, a company which represented Original Equipment Manufacturers and used equipment dealers in Canada with a central focus on buying and selling used plants and equipment and relocating complete plants from North America to developing countries. Prior to Elliot & Associates, Mr. Elliot owned and operated a contract manufacturer of personal care products. Mr. Elliot is a graduate of the Business Management Program at Ryerson University and he speaks fluent French
Mr. Gauvin has several years of financial management experience in large,
international corporations along with small, entrepreneurial start-ups. Prior
to joining EquipNet Direct, Mr. Gauvin was Controller and acting CFO for edu.com,
an internet marketing services company which sells academically priced, brand
name products and services to college students. In his capacity at edu.com,
Mr. Gauvin was responsible for the entire financial function including financial
reporting, budgeting, cash management, and all supporting financial systems.
Mr. Gauvin has also held positions as VP Finance of Elcom International, a
$750M international reseller of computer products and technical services,
and Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis for Bolt, Beranek & Newman,
pioneers of Internet technology. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from Bryant
College.
Mr. Potenza joined EquipNet in July of 1999 and is currently the Vice President of Marketing Operations. Prior to EquipNet, Mr. Potenza was the Manager of eBusiness and Sales Automation for John Crane International, a $1 Billion manufacturer of industrial equipment and supplies. At John Crane, Mr. Potenza was responsible for all e-commerce initiatives. Prior to John Crane, Mr. Potenza was the Marketing Communications Manager for EG&G Sealol, the $80 million division of EG&G that was acquired by John Crane in 1998. Mr. Potenza has a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Media Production from the Newhouse School of Public Communication at Syracuse University.
