HIGH PRECISION SPINDLE
The Spindle is supported by super precision ABEC class 7 (P4) angular contact ball bearings which have been accurately measured, selected and pre-loaded, the assembled in a temperature controlled clean room to ensure high accuracy and rigidity through the full RPM range.
LOW VIBRATION VARI-SPEED SPINDLE DRIVE
Spindle motor shaft is chrome plated to ensure smooth speed changes and long shaft life. The pulleys are ground to lengthen belt life. The motor and pulleys are dynamically balanced to provide an extremely smooth and quiet low vibration drive.
HARDENED & GROUND SLIDEWAYS AND TABLE SURFACE
The table, knee and column slide ways and the table surface are hardened and ground for wear resistance and excellent longevity. Therefore, high machine accuracies can be maintained over the life of the machine, even with heavy usage.
HIGH PRECISION BALLSCREWS
All models incorporate high precision ballscrews on X & Y Axis. The 3 Axis models also incorporate them on the Z Axis (Quill). The ballscrews provide long life and high accuracy for CNC operations.
HAND SCRAPED SADDLE WAYS
Both the upper and lower surfaces of the saddle are laminated with Turcite-B and precisely hand scraped ways, in combination with automatic lubrication, provide smooth, accurate and long-lasting operation.
MEEHANITE CAST IRON
All essential castings are made from a high grade of stress relieved Meehanite cast iron, providing superior rigidity and vibration dampering.
