Cox Automation Systems Project 3652 "Peg Leg" Printed Circuit Boards
Printed circuit boards are conveyed to this machine from upstream operations. PCB"S are picked up, inverted and placed in a tooling tray that automatically positions the board underneath rivet insertion tooling. After each rivet is placed, the positioning stage relocates the board for the next rivet. There is a vision system to check quality. There are two riveting stations on this machine. If one is down, the other can still process the parts. This unit came from the Carrier corporation. We have not used it or hook it up because we do not have 460. There are a ton of spare parts.

2.2. Performance Specifications
Term Definition Specification
Cycle time Cycle time is the time (usually in seconds) it takes for a machine to finish one complete machine cycle and return to the original position. 14.0 sec
Efficiency Efficiency is the percentage of time that a machine cycles, less downtime caused by non-machine related events.
Formula: ((total runtime – total machine related downtime – total non-machine related downtime) / (total runtime – total non-machine related downtime)) x 100 > 95%
3. System Description
3.1. System Overview
Printed circuit boards are conveyed to this machine from upstream operations. PCBs are picked up, inverted, and placed in a tooling tray that automatically positions the board underneath rivet insertion tooling. After each rivet is placed, the positioning stage relocates the board for the next rivet.
When all rivets have been attached, the completed part is picked up, inverted again, and placed under a vision system. If the vision inspection is good, the PCB is offloaded to a good parts bin; if the part fails the inspection, it goes to a bad parts bin.
For maximum efficiency, there are two riveting stations on this machine. If one is down, the other can still process parts.

Please be aware this equipment is located in Brazil.
Brazilian laws for imports and exports are very specific and different from all other countries in South America. It’s therefore important to understand Brazil’s export regulations/policies to move goods across borders.
EquipNet’s Brazilian sellers never export equipment by themselves, which means they do not conduct transactions/business with foreign companies, only with Brazilian legal entities.
International buyers are responsible for hiring, by their own expenses, a trading company. This trading company is a Brazilian legal entity, duly registered with CNPJ (National Registry of Legal Entities) and RADAR (Registry and records of customs and customs-related agents).
The trading company legal entity will acquire the equipment from the Brazilian seller, pay the seller in local currency, and receive the related invoice from the seller in the name of their Brazilian legal entity. After this process, the ownership will then be transferred to the trading company who will be responsible for export and assistance during the customs clearance process.
The international freight quote is also necessary for the transaction process. EquipNet is happy to provide support throughout this process. Please contact sales for more information.
