Equipment Description

MAE Mustang Dynamometer

E-Axle Tester with CAN Communication, Power Supply and Axle Cooling

This dyno is for function testing only, so that an electric motor can be checked with the dynamometer acting as the power supply. This dynamometer does not do any load testing on the E-axle (electronic axle), and is to check and see if the system runs as expected; are there any faults, etc.

Includes:

A. Base Test Stand

B. Primary test stand module shall consist of the following:
1. Roll around computer stand with monitor mount and keyboard tray
2. Barcode Scanner
3. Printer
4. Allen Bradley PLC configured for the application and housed in a NEMA enclosure
5. Stand for the PLC
6. CAN communications Module
7. Analog and digital I/O
8. 22-LED monitor, keyboard, mouse
9. MAPS Automation EOL Software for Proterra
10. Test Article will be tested on the build cart
11. Brakes will be used for load

C. Optional cooling pump and control skid for cooling the test article. Includes the pump and control unit will consist of a combination vent and surge tank with gauge glass, manual vent and drain valves; a full capacity close-coupled centrifugal circulating pump; 2-ton chiller; coolant flow monitor; an electrical control panel, all mounted on a fabricated steel baseplate. The cooling skid is sized for 30 lpm at 30psi with a heat rejection of approx. 2-tons.

D. Optional integrated 500-700V DC 50kW battery simulator feeding two (2) separate electric prime movers. VFDs are supplied by the end user.

Dual Single pole contactors with Time Delay and Soft-start.

Contactors wired with lockable E stop for Safety Disconnect.

LCL Filter with transformer instead of Reactor.
