Douglas Machine Inc. Poly Wrap Overwrap Model SR4
the function of the shrink wrapper is to receive trays of product on the infeed and transfer the product onto the servo driven vacuum belts in the wrapping section. As the product arrives at the wrapping section, a single sheet of film that has been automatically cut to the correct length is wrapped around the trayed product to form a sleeve with the leading and trailing edges overwrapping beneath the tray. The sleeved tray is is than conveyed into the heat zones of the tunnel were it is exposed to the blowing air. The tray is than conveyed out of the tunnel through the cooling section were the film finishes cooling and shrinks to it's final dimensions
