Equipment Description:

Hosokawa Micron Model MVM 50 Vetex Mill And Separator System
  • 304 stainless steel construction
  • 50 HP main drive; 1 HP screw feeder
  • Bar hammers, (8) pcs. X two stages
  • Stainless steel cyclones
  • Baghouse collector
  • Blowers
  • Interconnecting piping
  • On a base
  • The Micron Vertec Mill is an impact type gringer equipped with a built in separator.
    The fed material is ground by the vertical type two-stage rotors, each wquipped with a sqiate hammer and liner installed around the rotors.
    The material fed to the mill is coarsely ground by the lower stage rotor and than finely groung by the upper stage rotor which is larger in diameter than the lower stage rotor which effectively grinds the fed material into a fine powder.
    The material comes out of the upper stage rotor moves inside the guide ring with an air stream and is than separated. At this point, coarse material is sent back to the lower stage rotor for regrind and the fine material is moved to the micron separator on an air stream. In the separator, the material is sepatated again with coarse material being sent back to the mill and fine material sent to the fiished product storage component.
