Equipment Description:

The MAR Automatic Filling, Stoppering and Capping Monobloc Model “M53-2R/1S/1A” is controlled by the SIEMENS Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), to control machine functions, provided with the machine.

This is an intermittent motion monobloc machine carrying out Filling, Stoppering and Capping operations running at single pitch (1 syringe/vial per time). It is complete with:

  • One Vial feeding unit to feed container through their way on the machine; it is complete with 1 infeed turntable compact with the machine frame used to load empty vials to the machine infeed, “comb” style transfer system for vial moving under the different stations of the machine.
  • One Filling unit (2R) complete with 2 AISI 316 stainless steel unidirectional rotary valve-less and seal-less volumetric syringes, nominal capacity 10 ml. and 2 AISI 316L stainless steel dosing nozzles.
  • One Nitrogen Purging unit including 1 AISI 316 stainless steel nozzle for nitrogen purging before filling and 1 for nitrogen purging after filling.
  • One Rubber Stopper application unit (1S) including 1 AISI 316 stainless steel vibrating bowl feeder completed with 1 AISI 316 stainless steel disc for rubber stopper positioning and centring over vial mouth and a pusher for the insertion on the vial.
  • One Alu-cap application Unit (1A) to apply alu-caps onto filled vials, including 1 AISI 316 stainless steel vibrating bowl feeder completed with 1 AISI 316 stainless steel vertical chute and a mechanical sealing roller for sealing operations.

  • It will be possible to operate the machine in three operating modes named “Production”, “Production End” and “Jog”.

  • The machine is equipped with a number of safety sensors and emergency stop buttons.
  • On the activation of any of the emergency stop buttons, or violation of any of the safety sensors, the machine will stop immediately (i.e. “out of phase”). This function is achieved by electrical hardwiring.
  • Other “process critical” sensors are also located on the machine. If any of these sensors are violated during production the PLC will ensure that the machine stops “in phase” (i.e. the machine shall continue until dosing of vial is complete).
  • Comes complete with L.A.F. unit (never been used)
