Equipment Description:

The instrument has a sealed Ba-133 source inside the instrument with a reference date of June 2004. The system comes supplied with a built-in Pentium computer, monitor, mouse and keyboard.

The system was purchased with the optional Varisette sample changer that automatically moves the samples into position and loads them down into the detector for counting. Included are 10 standard vial cassettes for 20mL vials, ~70 adapters for 1.5mL Eppendorf tubes in the standard cassettes, and 4 mini vial cassettes for 6-7mL vials. There are also 15 protocol flags that the instrument uses to identify the appropriate assay counting parameters for a set of samples. Also included is a new set of 3 reference standards.

The unit was purchased, new, in 2005. It has since been used in several projects and was in perfect working condition when taken out of service.
