Equipment Description:

Ross Model HDM-10 Double Planetary HV Blade Mixer having a working capacity of 2 to 12 Gallons, and a full holding capacity of 15 gallons (56 liters).
Seller will consider any reasonable offer

  • Currently de-installed and stored in a controlled production area.
  • Equipment mixed powders and resins for casting electrical insulators.
  • Removal costs include palletizing equipment and loading equipment onto the buyer's truck

    GENERAL FEATURES
  • Air/Oil Hydraulic lift with raise/lower air powered controls. (80-100 psig air supply required)
  • Change can design to allow the use of multiple mix cans.
  • Stainless steel type 316 wetted parts are polished to an 80 grit finish.
  • All interior and exterior 304 stainless steel surfaces are polished to an 80 grit finish.
  • All non-stainless steel exterior surfaces to be painted with a two-part coating.
  • All elastomers to be Viton.
  • Explosion proof limit switches to prevent operation of drives when stirrers are in the raised position or when mix can removed.

    AGITATORS AND DRIVES
  • Heavy-duty ductile iron, sealed gearbox with special gearing.
  • Heavy-Duty type 316 stainless steel High Viscosity HV blades stirrer blades.
  • 5 HP, TEFC mechanical variable speed drive for variable speed operation of stirrer blades on their own axis between 10 and 39 RPM, orbital rotation of agitators at 9 to 37 RPM.

    VACUUM HOOD
    Type 316 stainless steel vacuum hood which includes the following features:
  • Two (2) 3in diameter combination sight and charge ports.
  • One (1) Half coupling vacuum exhaust port.
  • Lower vacuum hood flange overlaps top mix can flange.

    HDM-10 MIX CAN
    One (1) 316 stainless steel mix can designed for vacuum operation, and to include the following:
  • 2in Dia. Bottom Discharge valve in bottom, towards front of mix can.
  • 50 PSIG Carbon steel jacket and side walls and bottom.
  • Low profile thermowell and type J thermocouple to side wall of mix can.
  • Internally machined suitable fore use with a Discharge System.
  • Stainless steel type 316 interior with an 80-grit finish.
  • One (1) Push/Pull handle.
  • Mounted on four (4) V groove caster wheels.

    MIXER CONTROLS
  • Variable Speed Controls of orbiting gearbox and stirrers is accomplished by use of a mechanical variable speed hand-wheel.
  • On/Off Operator Station with motor starter to be installed and wired on-site by customer suitable for 3ph, 60Hz, 230 or 460 volt input.

    DISCHARGE SYSTEM:
  • Model DS-10 for use with ROSS 10 – 12 gallon internally machined mix cans.
  • Heavy duty support structure is fabricated in carbon steel and finished with a two-component epoxy paint.
  • Platen with type 304 stainless steel wetted parts polished to an 80 grit finish, having a special conical O-Ring positioner and Viton sealing O-Ring.
  • Platen activated by means of a self-contained hydraulic power unit driven by a 230/460 volt, 3 phase, 60 cycle, TEFC motor. A hydraulic pressure gauge and four-way hydraulic valve is provided to raise and lower the platen. Standard designed pressure under the platen is 25 psi.

    DISCHARGE SYSTEM CONTROLS:
    On/Off Operator Station with motor starter to be installed and wired on-site by customer suitable for 3ph, 60Hz, 230 or 460 volt input.
