Equipment Description
American Scientific Products double pan balance, a mechanical (non-electric) two-pan laboratory balance used for comparative and tared weighing where no power source is available. The unit consists of a grey enameled steel base housing, a cast knife-edge beam assembly, and two round metal weighing pans carried on the beam yokes. The front beam is graduated from 0 to 10 g with fine subdivisions (approximately 0.1 g readability) and carries a sliding poise; a center pointer rides against a (-)/(+) index plate at the top of the column for balance indication, and a knurled zero/trim adjustment knob is fitted at the right-hand pan yoke. The balance is bench top, self contained and rests on rubber feet; no cord, display or electrical connection is present, so it requires no utilities. A calibration label on the left front of the base reads ID I198204, dated 13-Jun-25 with a due date of 30-Jun-26, indicating the unit was in a maintained calibration program at the seller's R&D facility. The field user recorded it as Lifordi NH lot 49 - American Scientific Balance. No weight set or other accessories are shown in the photos. Condition beyond what the photos show was not reported.
