Equipment Description
This is an Autobag PS 125 PaceSetter tabletop bagger, made by Automated Packaging Systems in Streetsboro, Ohio. It is a hand-load bagging and sealing machine for low- to mid-volume production. It runs Autobag pre-opened bags-on-a-roll: the bag is indexed open, the operator loads the product by hand, and the machine seals it. The design is all-electric, so it needs no compressed air. The nameplate reads PS 125 Table Top Bagger, part number 597000A1, Rev. J, manufactured 05/2019, and it carries a CE mark. The manufacturer rates the PS 125 at up to 25 bags per minute. It takes bags from about 2 to 10 inches wide (55 to 260 mm) and 4 to 17 inches long (102 to 430 mm). It can cycle by manual push-to-seal, by foot switch, or fully automatically. The front control panel has a display, arrow keys, Start/Stop and Reset keys, Main, Settings, Config and Job menu keys, and a numeric keypad for job setup and storage. The rear bag-roll turntable has a locking mechanism. The nameplate lists electrical service of 90-132 VAC at 60 Hz (5 FLA at 115 VAC) or 180-264 VAC at 50 Hz (2.7 FLA at 230 VAC), single phase, with a 63 A short-circuit rating. The machine weighs 82 lbs (37.2 kg). The photos show the front sealing area with the load shelf and product guide, a partly used roll of bags on the rear unwind, a power cord, and the black base frame. The unit came from a medical device and pharmacy compounding setting and carries a facility asset tag and a 'No Calibration Required' label dated July 2019.
