Equipment Description
Barnstead/Lab-Line Model 120 benchtop laboratory incubator, a compact general-purpose gravity-convection air incubator used for microbiological culture work, sample warming and other routine incubation applications in R&D and QC labs. The unit is self-contained and sits on a bench; it runs on a standard cord-connected 120 volt supply. The data plate on the top of the cabinet (photo 3) reads Barnstead International, Model No. 120, 120 volts, 0.8 amps, 100 watts, 50/60 Hz, and carries a cUL listed laboratory incubator mark. Published specifications for this model give a 1.0 cubic foot chamber measuring 12 x 12 x 12 inches and a working temperature range of approximately 5 degrees C above ambient to 60 degrees C. Temperature is set with an analog knob on the right-hand side of the cabinet; the front panel has an I/O rocker power switch and an amber Heat indicator. Photo 2 shows the stainless steel interior with one perforated stainless shelf in place and a thermometer/access port in the chamber ceiling. The exterior is painted steel with a solid, side-hinged outer door and a recessed handle. This is a dry-air incubator only - there is no CO2 injection, no humidity control and no water jacket. A power cord is attached (photo 3). No field notes on operating condition were supplied with this listing, and the unit was not observed running, so function has not been verified. Cosmetically the cabinet and chamber appear intact, with minor marks on the shelf and an asset tag on the front panel.
