Equipment Description
Biotage TurboVap LV Concentration Workstation, a benchtop automated solvent evaporation/concentration system for laboratory sample preparation. The TurboVap LV uses Biotage's patented gas vortex shearing technology, directing a nitrogen (or other inert gas) stream onto the sample surface in a heated water bath to evaporate solvent rapidly and evenly regardless of sample height in the tube. The unit processes up to 50 tubes in parallel, with an internal gas manifold of five rows of ten nozzles visible with the lid open. The front control panel provides Start/Pause and Stop keys, thumbwheel setpoints for Temperature and Time, Tube Station selection keys and an analog gas pressure gauge with regulator. The nameplate on the underside of the chassis identifies serial number TV1412N20359, part number 103198/11, 100-120 V, 50-60 Hz operation with a 10 A time-delay 250 V fuse, and carries CE and ETL marks. The machine requires a dry regulated gas supply (nominally 30-80 psi per the manufacturer's published data) and is fitted with a flexible vent hose at the rear. The unit is supplied with a stainless steel tube rack stamped 13 mm x 100 mm TUBES installed in the water bath; the TurboVap LV accepts tubes from 10 to 32 mm outer diameter and 32 to 165 mm in length. It is a self-contained benchtop instrument shown sitting on a bench with the gas and vent lines attached. No condition, operating hours or service history information was recorded at the time of the site visit, and the unit's power-on status was not verified. Buyers should confirm accessories, racks and condition before purchase.
