Equipment Description
Bosch Pack 101 horizontal flow wrapper, built by Bosch Packaging Technology, Inc. (New Richmond, WI). The Pack 101 is an entry-level continuous-motion horizontal form/fill/seal wrapper that draws heat-sealable film from a single overhead roll, forms it around the product on an infeed conveyor, and produces pillow-style flow packs with a longitudinal fin/lap seal and crimped end seals. Nameplate data: Model PACK 101, Serial No. 18-34766, electrical diagram 8-110-978-278.

Electrical rating from the nameplate (photo 10): 208-240 V, 60 Hz, single phase, FLA 17 A / 4300 W, largest motor 2 A, short circuit interrupt 200 kA, short circuit current rating 5 kA. Per Bosch's published data for the Pack 101, the machine runs up to 90 packages/min single-up and up to 150 packages/min two-up, with a maximum film speed of 30 m/min. Setup labels on the film backstand (photo 4) note backstand to center line 400 mm and 275 mm film, backstand to edge of film 267 mm.

The unit is configured with a color touchscreen HMI flanked by two digital temperature controllers for the sealing jaws, blue reset and green start buttons, a red stop button and an emergency stop (photos 1 and 3); an overhead film unwind with multiple idler/dancer rollers and a film roll in place; a short infeed/discharge belt conveyor with clear polycarbonate guarding (photo 2); and a long stainless product infeed chain conveyor with adjustable side rails, T-handle adjusters and pneumatic fittings (photos 8 and 9). A side-mounted electrical cabinet with fused main disconnect, filtered cooling vent and a USA panel-shop label is integral to the frame; the machine stands on casters with leveling feet.

The wrapper was removed from a Central Admixture Pharmacy Services facility and carries an asset label with barcode 112248 and a supplier calibration sticker (ID# 112248, dated Apr 07 2026, due Oct 21 2026) shown in photo 7, along with an internal plant tag reading CAPS 1495993 Wrapper, S/N 18-34766 (photo 5). The machine is photographed in a cleared staging room and appears complete; no field notes on operating condition were provided, and the control panel was not powered during the visit.
