Equipment Description
Carrier 39MN14W025BGP11XGE indoor modular air handling unit from the AERO 39M semi-custom central station air handler series, tagged AHU-8 at the seller's facility. The unit is a double-wall, multi-section indoor air handler built for ducted supply air service; the nameplate lists a nominal size 14W chassis, which Carrier rates at 7,000 nominal CFM. Per the unit nameplate (photo 4), the air handler is arranged in four sections: (A) mixing box, (B) flat filter section with pre-filters of (3) 16x20 and (3) 20x20 plus main filters of (3) 16x20 and (3) 20x20, (C) hot water coil and plenum rated 300 PSIG maximum operating pressure at 200 F with coil 28MHV224FAA059BRNC, and (D) a blow-thru supply fan section with two 5 HP, 1800 RPM motors on 460/3/60 power, FLA/MCA/MOCP 6.6/8.3/10 each and 15.4 maximum continuous amps. Fan part 39MBH9FVB31314FCCK, motor 93MS0725BA280X0XSB and VFD 93VFHJH07D21JBXXBX are called out on the same plate. The photos show the unit with a wall-mounted ABB HVAC variable frequency drive and fused service switch, an Eaton 30A heavy-duty safety switch fed from panel 3PPH1 (circuits 2, 4, 6), a control/junction enclosure, hinged latching access doors on both sides, an outside-air/mixing box damper with manual linkage, and round sheet metal duct connections at the top. The ABB drive display is illuminated in the photos, indicating the unit was still energized at the time of inspection. The air handler is currently installed in place, ducted, hardwired in conduit and piped to the hot water coil, so it will have to be disconnected and disassembled from the ductwork and piping by the appropriate trades before removal. Serial 2218U35662, manufacture year 2022. Condition, run hours and service history were not documented at the visit.
