Equipment Description
Carrier Aero 39M series indoor central station air handling unit, model 39MN17W025BGF11XGE (unit size 17W), serial 2218U35700, factory tagged AHU-10. The unit is a multi-section, double-wall galvanized casing air handler used to filter, heat and distribute conditioned air; the Carrier 39MN 17W size is rated by the manufacturer at approximately 8,500 nominal CFM. Per the factory nameplate (photo 4) the unit is built up, left to right, of a mixing box (A), a flat filter section (B) with (6) 20x20 pre-filters and (6) 20x20 main filters, a hot water coil and plenum section (C) rated 300 psig maximum operating pressure at 200 F with coil 28MHV224HAA065BLNC, and a blow-thru supply fan section (D) with two 7.5 HP, 1800 rpm motors on 460/3/60 power, FLA/MCA/MOCP 9.7/12.1/20 each and 23.0 maximum continuous amps. Controls and power components mounted on the unit include an Eaton heavy duty non-fused style safety switch (labeled Fed From 3PPH1, Circuits 14, 16, 18), a factory-supplied ABB variable frequency drive with keypad and local disconnect, and a junction/control enclosure. The VFD keypad display is illuminated in photo 2, indicating the unit is energized. A warning label on the casing states the unit is designed to operate from a 460 V, 3 phase, 60 Hz supply. The air handler is photographed in place in a facility mechanical area, hard-ducted, hard-piped to hot water lines and wired in conduit, so it will require disconnection by trades and rigging to remove. Overall footprint as entered on the listing is 192 in long x 72 in wide x 84 in high with an estimated shipping weight of 3,000 lbs. No field notes on service history, hours or included spare filters were provided.

Powers On Explanations

ABB VFD keypad display is lit/green in photo 2 and the Eaton disconnect is in the ON position, so the unit is energized.
