Equipment Description
Carrier AERO 39MN30W025BGQ22XGE indoor semi-custom central station air handling unit, serial 2318U35825, built in 2018 and marked AHU-6,16 at the seller's medical device facility. The 39M series is a double-wall, sealed-panel air handler used to filter, condition and distribute conditioned air in commercial and controlled manufacturing environments. The unit is a size 30W cabinet, nominally rated at approximately 15,000 CFM per Carrier's published 39M physical data. The nameplate (photo 4) identifies a blow-thru supply fan section with two 10 HP, 1800 RPM motors on a 460 V / 3 phase / 60 Hz supply, FLA/MCA/MOCP of 12.5/15.6/25 each and a maximum continuous draw of 31.0 amps. Fan assembly 39MBM9KVB18704TCCK, motor 93MS0925BA300X0XSB and VFD 93VFMJH09D23JBXXCX are listed on the same tag, and the cabinet includes a blow-thru plenum section downstream of the fans. The unit is a multi-section, hinged-access cabinet on a galvanized base rail, approximately 240 in long x 96 in wide x 88 in high. Photos show an ABB/Carrier variable frequency drive with keypad and disconnect handle mounted on the unit exterior, an Eaton heavy-duty 60 A safety switch fed from panel 3PPH1, a field control enclosure, and insulated chilled/hot water coil piping with gauges at the coil connections. As photographed the unit is installed in place, ducted and piped, with electrical and water connections made; it must be disconnected and rigged out. Condition beyond what is visible in the photos was not documented.
