Equipment Description
Custom Cooler walk-in cooler built by Custom Cooler of San Dimas, California, configured as a 2-8 deg C (QA) refrigerator for controlled cold storage. The room is assembled from insulated composite panels and has a single hinged personnel door with a viewing window, chrome hinges, a locking latch handle and a digital temperature display mounted beside the door. The facility labeled it 'Refrigerator (QA) 2-8 deg C' and marked it 'No Food Storage'. It came from a pharmacy admixture / medical device environment. The interior is cooled by a ceiling-mounted Bohn two-fan unit cooler (evaporator) with a condensate drain line. The room also has LED ceiling light fixtures and conduit-run electrical. The panel label lists UL Classified, ULC Listed and cUL Listed (door panel assembly) ratings and an NSF component listing. It describes the panels as 3-1/2 to 5-1/2 inch thick painted or unpainted steel-finished foam-core panels, certified for walk-in cooler use, with a door rated for cooler and freezer use. The door panel assembly is rated 3 amps at 120 V, 60 Hz maximum. The label is dated 6/2017. Overall dimensions are approximately 230 in L x 120 in W x 120 in H, with an estimated shipping weight of 3,500 lbs. The temperature display was lit when photographed. The unit is currently assembled and installed, and the refrigeration and electrical connections will need to be disconnected and the panels taken down before removal.
