Equipment Description
Hewlett Packard 1100 Series G1311A quaternary pump, a four-channel low-pressure gradient HPLC solvent delivery module. The module blends up to four solvents through a multi-channel gradient valve and delivers them with a dual-piston in-series pump head, with a flow range of approximately 0.2 to 10 mL/min and operation to 400 bar (5880 psi) up to 5 mL/min, reduced to 200 bar at flows up to 10 mL/min. It is a stackable bench module of the 1100 series and is controlled through the HP-IB, CAN or RS-232 connections on the rear panel, either from a chromatography data system or a handheld control module. The rear nameplate identifies it as Product No. G1311A, Serial No. US83103908, rated 100-120/220-240 V, 50/60 Hz, 180 VA, and it carries CE and CSA NRTL/C marks. The internal label on the front of the pump reads G1311A QuatPump with the same serial number. Visible in the photos are the pump head with purge valve and knob, the active inlet valve, the multi-channel gradient valve and the damper, along with the associated solvent tubing. The photos were taken with the front cover off; the field user notes that the front (faceplate) is included with the unit but is not pictured. The pump carries facility asset labels and tape on the housing. No power-up or performance testing was recorded, and no solvent tray, control module or other accessories are shown in the photos.
