Equipment Description
Kohler 500 kW diesel generator set housed in a factory sound-attenuating weather enclosure and mounted on a steel sub-base fuel tank. The unit is a standby/prime power genset built around a turbocharged diesel engine with radiator cooling, engine-mounted air cleaner, flexible exhaust connection and Kohler spin-on oil and fuel/water separator filters, all accessible through hinged, lockable enclosure doors. The enclosure is marked "500" and KohlerPower.com on the exterior panels, and a DIESEL FUEL placard is fitted on the fuel-fill side of the base tank. Control is by a Kohler Power Systems Decision-Maker 6000 paralleling controller mounted behind a hinged weather hood, with an emergency stop pushbutton, keyed access lock, alpha-numeric display and keypad, and menus for generator monitoring, engine monitoring, analog monitoring, operational records, event history and time/date, plus paralleling breaker open/close controls. Output is through a Square D PowerPact PJ 800 molded-case circuit breaker with a Micrologic 5.0 trip unit set at 800 A rating plug, labeled AC OUTPUT POWER BREAKER, consistent with a 480 V, 3-phase, 60 Hz output configuration. The breaker carries BREAKER TESTED and SETTING VERIFIED stickers from a commissioning testing service. The genset sits outdoors on a concrete pad within a fenced generator yard and is currently connected and installed; removal will require electrical disconnection, fuel tank draining and rigging/crane handling. Photographs show the generator with its enclosure panels and internal equipment in place and the control panel indicator lamps illuminated. A handwritten service note on the engine oil filter reads 136.5 HR with a 2/7/26 date, and an enclosure door is marked 2-10-26, suggesting recent servicing; actual run hours should be confirmed from the controller's operational records at inspection.
