Equipment Description
Kohler 500REOZJB diesel generator set, rated 500 kW standby at 277/480V, three phase, 60 Hz. The unit carries Kohler nameplate model 500REOZJB with serial SGM32N6R3 and is built on a Kohler skid with an integral sub-base fuel tank (nameplate accessory list shows a 48-hour configurable fuel tank) inside a steel sound-attenuated Level 2 enclosure with lockable access doors on both sides. Control is by a Kohler Power Systems Decision-Maker 6000 digital controller with emergency stop, OFF/AUTO/RUN generator control, paralleling breaker open/close keys, alphanumeric display and keypad menus for generator, engine and analog monitoring, operational records and event history. Output is through a unit-mounted Square D PowerPact PJ 800 molded case circuit breaker (800 A frame, Micrologic 5.0 trip unit) labeled AC OUTPUT POWER BREAKER. The nameplate accessory list also shows a 2500 W block heater, 12/24V-10A battery charger, unit-mounted radiator cooling and alternator 5M4027. The engine is a liquid-cooled, turbocharged diesel with unit-mounted radiator, Kohler spin-on oil and fuel filters and an insulated exhaust run to the enclosure-mounted stack. The controller was lit and reading during the site visit, showing 146.0 total run hours with approximately 106 hours run loaded. Maintenance markings in the engine compartment show air cleaner and lube change work recorded at 142.2 hours dated 02/07/26 and hoses and belts dated 2-10-26. The set was photographed in place on an outdoor concrete pad as EM GENSET #02, an alternate power source feeding the building; site signage identifies it as 3 phase, 4 wire, 480V. It is still installed and hard-wired, so disconnection and rigging will be required for removal.
