Equipment Description
Lot of two VWR Scientific Model 1545 laboratory incubators, built for VWR by Sheldon Manufacturing (Shel Lab) of Cornelius, Oregon. These are general purpose, gravity convection heated incubators used for routine culture, media holding and sample conditioning in laboratory settings, with a nominal 164 L (approximately 5.8 cu ft) chamber and an operating range from just above ambient up to about 70 degrees C. Each unit has a top mounted control panel with a power rocker switch, circuit breaker, heating and high limit indicator lamps, a red LED digital temperature display with up/down set point keys, and an independent adjustable high limit (overtemperature) safety dial. The interior seen in the photos is stainless steel with perforated shelves on adjustable side channels, an inner glass viewing door behind the solid outer door, and an internal receptacle marked 1 AMP MAX. There is no CO2 or humidity control and the chamber is not jacketed. Nameplate data read from the photos: Model 1545, 120 volts, 50/60 Hz, single phase, 7.0 amps / 650 watts, two wire, cULus listed laboratory equipment. One unit carries Sheldon serial 0102392 and the other VWR part number 9120811 with serial 1102398. Both units are shown sitting on wood pallets in a warehouse. The second unit carries a red OUT OF SERVICE sticker on the control panel and a yellow facility label reading Incubator #2, 20 - 25 degrees Celsius, Media Only; it also retains former owner asset and calibration stickers. Operating condition was not verified and no accessories beyond the installed shelves are shown.
