Equipment Description
Bio-Rad PowerPac HC electrophoresis power supplies offered with gel tanks. The PowerPac HC is a high-current programmable DC power supply for nucleic acid and protein gel electrophoresis and for tank or semi-dry western blotting, rated 250 V / 3.0 A / 300 W as marked on the front cover of the units in the photos. Operation is through a two-line LCD with a simple keypad (stop, setup, reset, constant V/A/W selection, cursor and value keys and a run/pause key), allowing constant voltage, constant current or constant power operation as well as timed and multistep programmed runs, with all run parameters shown on one screen.

The rear nameplates photographed read Model No. PowerPac HC, Max Power 400 VA, Frequency 50/60 Hz, Fuses 8 A Type T, AC Voltage 100-120/220-240 V, with a CE mark; the listed serial number 043BR16050 appears on one of these plates and additional PowerPac HC plates (043BR13966, 043BR15799, 043BR18738) are also photographed. Each supply has four pairs of recessed banana-jack output terminals on the front deck, allowing several cells to be run in parallel, and a detachable line cord is shown with the units.

The photos also show a Bio-Rad PowerPac Basic supply (300 V / 400 mA / 75 W, nameplate 041BR96591, 150 VA, 100-120/220-240 V) among the group, along with Invitrogen Novex Midi-Cell style vertical gel tanks with gel/buffer cores, additional clear electrophoresis cells and lids stored in a bench drawer, banana-plug lead sets, and a sealed Invitrogen Mini Gel Tank carton marked REF A25977.

The equipment was photographed in place on a laboratory bench at a biopharmaceutical facility and is being sold as surplus. No operational testing, service history or accessory list beyond what is visible in the photos is documented; the exact quantity and mix of supplies, tanks and accessories should be confirmed against the physical lot.
