Equipment Description
Patterson Pump Company model V2C7A-GC vertical in-line centrifugal pumps, close-coupled to vertical electric motors. Pumps of this type are used for circulating water and clear fluids in HVAC hydronic heating and chilled-water loops and in general commercial/industrial service; the in-line suction and discharge flanges share a common centerline 180 degrees apart, so the pump mounts directly in the piping run without a foundation or concrete pad. The pump nameplate (photo 5) lists model V2C7A-GC, serial HVAC-B000000017-1-01, and a rated speed of 1750 RPM, with the gallons-per-minute, head and impeller diameter fields stamped but only partly legible in the photos. Drive is a Baldor-Reliance Super-E vertical P-base motor, catalog EJMM3116T-G, 1 HP, 230/460 V, 3.26/1.63 A, 1760 RPM, 60 Hz, 3 phase, 143JM frame, open drip-proof, service factor 1.15, NEMA Premium efficiency, VPWM inverter ready, with an AEGIS shaft grounding ring installed (photos 6 and 7). The units carry the factory red finish with all manufacturer labels, warning decals and bar-coded tags intact, and are fitted with brass gauge/vent piping and a ball valve with copper tubing at the casing. They are bolted and blocked to a wooden shipping pallet with timber bracing as received, and carry green "OK TO SHIP" stickers and carrier freight labels. No field notes on operation or history were provided; the pumps were not run or tested during the visit.
