Equipment Description
MilliporeSigma Milli-Q IQ 7000 laboratory water purification system with a Q-POD remote dispenser. The IQ 7000 is a compact bench/under-counter ultrapure (Type 1) water system that takes pretreated or tap feed water and delivers water of up to 18.2 MOhm-cm resistivity at 25 C, with dispensing flow at the Q-POD of up to approximately 2 L/min. Systems of this type are used for analytical chemistry, HPLC and LC-MS sample and eluent preparation, cell culture, and media, buffer and reagent preparation. The main purification unit is shown in photo 2, badged Milli-Q IQ 7000 and installed on a shelf inside a laboratory base cabinet with feed/drain tubing connected. Its instrument label, photographed in photo 4 on the IPAK Meta / IPAK Quanta purification pack bay, reads Catalog Number ZIQ7000T0, Serial Number F9EA04068. The unit runs on a 100-240 V, 50/60 Hz single-phase supply, approximately 350 VA. The system includes the Milli-Q Q-POD remote dispenser seen in photos 1 and 3, mounted on a bench next to a sink with its articulated arm, coiled dispensing hose and color touchscreen display. The Q-POD nameplate in photo 5 reads REF ZIQPOD000, Serial Number F9CA93794, 24-28 V DC, 25 W, manufacture date 18-MAR-2019, Millipore SAS, Molsheim, France. A point-of-use final filter with a dispensing bell is fitted on the Q-POD gun in photo 1. A calibration sticker on the main unit (photo 2) is marked ID F9EA04068D, calibrated by Millipore 05 Jan 2023, due Jan 2024. The equipment is shown in place and in service in its original laboratory; the display was not lit in the photos, so operational status was not verified. Purification packs and consumable filters are age-sensitive and should be assumed to need replacement.
