Equipment Description
MVE HEco Series 1500-190 cryogenic storage freezer, a vapor-phase liquid nitrogen freezer built for long-term storage of cells, tissues, vaccines and other biological samples at approximately -190 degrees C. The HEco (High Efficiency, Eco-friendly) 1500 Series uses streamlined internal LN2 plumbing and a vacuum-jacketed transfer hose to keep nitrogen consumption low while holding samples in dry vapor above the liquid, with a low liftover height for easier sample handling. The vessel is all stainless steel with a hinged top work surface that encloses the electronics and plumbing, and a removable insulated lid over the 17.4 in neck opening. Per the manufacturer's published data for the 1500 Series, the inner diameter is about 38.5 in with roughly 28.8 to 30.8 in of usable internal height, LN2 capacity at the vapor platform is about 115 L, and empty weight is about 700 lb. The unit is fitted with the CHART MVE TS touch-screen controller, which displays two temperature probes, liquid level, daily usage and a 24-hour trend chart, and provides start fill, stop fill, fog clear and alarm mute functions. At the time of the visit the controller was powered and reading Temp A -191.8 deg C, Temp B -196.0 deg C, level 10.8 in and usage 0.4 in/day, in IDLE state (photo 2). A two-tier stainless step stand is shown with the freezer in photo 1. Inventory racks, boxes and any fill plumbing beyond the unit itself are not documented in the photos; condition, service history and accessories should be confirmed by the buyer.
