Equipment Description
SCIEX X500B QTOF high-resolution quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometer coupled to a Shimadzu Nexera/Prominence LC-30AD HPLC system. The X500B is a benchtop ESI Q-TOF designed for biologics characterization - intact protein and subunit mass analysis, peptide mapping, glycan profiling and impurity/host-cell protein work - providing accurate-mass TOF MS and MS/MS data under SCIEX OS software. The instrument shown carries the standard Turbo V ion source with electrospray probe, the two-position calibrant delivery bottle bay on the front panel, and is plumbed to external vacuum and gas lines on the bench (photos 1-4). The front-end chromatograph is a Shimadzu binary UHPLC stack built from two LC-30AD Nexera solvent delivery pumps, an SIL-30AC Nexera autosampler (serial L20564950203, 50 uL sample loop assembly label on the front), a CTO-20A Prominence column oven (serial L20204951699), an RF-20Axs Prominence fluorescence detector (serial L20504950086), a CBM-20A communications bus module (serial L20234953640), DGU-20A5R and DGU-20A3 Prominence degassing units (serials L20704960165 and the companion DGU-20A3), and a Shimadzu reservoir tray (serial L20304927019) carrying the solvent bottles. Nameplates on the Shimadzu modules read 100-120 V, 50/60 Hz, 400-600 VA single phase, and carry CE and CSA marks (photos 16-19). All units were photographed in place on the laboratory bench, connected to solvent lines, mobile phase bottles and the mass spectrometer source. No condition, service history, run hours or operating status were recorded by the field rep, and the system was not observed powered up. Computer, software licensing, columns and consumables are not confirmed in the photos and should be verified with the seller.
