Equipment Description
SP Scientific Genevac miVac Quattro centrifugal vacuum concentrator, supplied together with its matching miVac Speed Trap refrigerated condenser. The miVac Quattro is a benchtop centrifugal evaporator used to concentrate and dry samples under vacuum and gentle heat, and is suited to a wide range of solvents from volatile organics through to water and some higher boiling point solvents. The Quattro chamber offers roughly double the sample capacity of the miVac Duo and accepts interchangeable rotors for microcentrifuge tubes, vials, larger tubes, microplates and round bottom flasks (rotors are not confirmed in the photographs). The concentrator carries model number QUC-12060-C00, serial number QUC02220448, date of manufacture February 2022, and is rated 120 V, 60 Hz, 900 VA total, 34 kg per its nameplate. The front panel provides manual and automatic modes, a pre-heat function, method and time display with a rotary select control, and start/stop keys. The rear panel has an IEC power inlet and an auxiliary 400 VA max outlet for a controlled vacuum pump/valve, plus a vacuum port for the trap hose. The lid is marked CAUTION HOT SURFACE, reflecting the heated chamber. The companion miVac Speed Trap is model MST-12060-C00, serial number MST02221520, also dated February 2022 and rated 120 V, 60 Hz, 550 VA, 25 kg. It is a compact refrigerated condenser charged with 0.0710 kg of R449A refrigerant, with a removable clear collection flask marked MAX held in a stainless bracket with a carry handle, front indicators for cooling/defrost and a defrost switch, and wire-reinforced vacuum hoses for connection to the concentrator. Per the field user, the concentrator and Speed Trap were used together and are being sold together. Both units are shown loose on a wire shelf with power cords and connecting hoses present; nothing in the photographs or notes documents operational testing, hours or service history.
