Equipment Description
Syntegon (Bosch/Doboy, New Richmond, WI) Pack 102 horizontal flow wrapper, an entry-level continuous-motion wrapper that forms, seals and cuts flow-wrap packages from a single roll of heat-sealable film. The machine is of stainless steel construction and is built as one integrated unit: a long in-line infeed conveyor with adjustable product guides and lug/flight bars, an overhead film unwind with multiple idler rollers and an adjustable film reel shaft, a forming box and fin-seal section, a rotary crimper/cutting head under a hinged clear polycarbonate guard, and a short discharge conveyor.

Controls are through a stainless operator pedestal with a color touchscreen HMI, start/reset pushbuttons, two Watlow EZ-ZONE digital temperature controllers for the sealing jaws, and an E-stop. A film-path diagram (showing the optional coder path) is applied to the panel, and a main disconnect is fitted to the drive/electrical cabinet at the rear. The machine sits on casters with leveling feet and is self-contained apart from its electrical drop.

Nameplate data: Model Pack 102 Wrapper, Serial No. 23-37273, 208-240 V / 60 Hz / 1 phase, 17 FLA / 4600 W, largest motor 24 A, 5 kA SCCR, Type 1 enclosure rating. Published data for the Pack 102 rates the machine in the range of roughly 20-90 packages per minute depending on product and film, with up to 650 mm film width and a 150 mm diameter cutting head.

The unit was photographed in a clean, lighted production area at a medical device / pharmacy compounding facility. A supplier calibration label dated Apr 07, 2024 (due Oct 31, 2024) is affixed to the cabinet next to the nameplate. A bag of hand tools and change-part hardware is resting on the discharge conveyor in the photos; no inventory of spare parts or change parts is implied. Condition, hours and run history were not recorded by the field rep - inspection is recommended.

Powers On Explanations
