Beckman Coulter GenomeLab GeXP Genetic Analysis System

The Beckman Coulter GenomeLab GeXP Genetic Analysis System is an eight-capillary electrophoresis platform used for multiplexed gene expression profiling, fragment analysis (genotyping, SNP analysis, STR and microsatellite work) and DNA sequencing. Samples are loaded from 96-well plates into an 8-capillary array (75 um i.d., 33 cm), separated in a replaceable gel-separation buffer and detected by laser-induced fluorescence, allowing multiple dye-labeled fragments to be resolved in a single run. The system is a floor/bench-standing self-contained analyzer with an integrated capillary array compartment, automated sample loading stage, onboard buffer and waste reservoirs, and a solid-state laser excitation/detection module. Per the rear nameplate it runs on 100-240 V, 5 A, 50/60 Hz single-phase power. This unit carries serial number A609740053 and catalog number A60974, and is shown with its capillary array plenum, sample tray, wash/waste bottle and the external buffer/waste reservoir carrier that sits on top of the instrument. A set of Beckman Coulter GeXP technical-service documents is pictured resting on the instrument. Condition per the field user: there is a small crack in the front panel, visible as a broken area in the black access door in photos 1 and 4. Function was not verified during the visit and no computer, software or capillary array consumables were confirmed as included; the unit is offered as pictured.
