Binder FD 56 Drying and Heating Oven

Binder FD 56 drying and heating oven (model FD 56-UL, Art. No. 9010-0304), a forced-convection laboratory oven with an interior volume of approximately 2.1 cu. ft. (62 L) and a nominal temperature range of ambient +10 C to 300 C (572 F). The unit uses Binder's APT.line preheating chamber technology with a powerful fan for homogeneous temperature distribution, and includes an electromechanically controlled exhaust air flap for drying applications. The oven is controlled from a microprocessor controller with an LCD display and arrow / OK / back / power keys set into the red front panel. The stainless steel interior chamber measures roughly 16 x 13 x 15.5 in and is fitted with chrome-plated wire racks on side rails; photo 3 shows the chamber with the racks installed and the operating manual inside. A Class 2.0 adjustable independent temperature safety device per DIN 12880 is integrated. Nameplate data (photo 4): nominal temperature 300 C / 572 F, 1.20 kW / 10.0 A, 115 V, 50/60 Hz, single phase, IP 20 protection, built 2018, serial no. 20180000009318, made in Germany. The unit is CE marked and cUL us listed. The oven came from a medical device / compounding pharmacy facility and carries the previous owner's asset label 113010 and calibration stickers (photos 1 and 2). It is a benchtop unit on feet, shown free-standing on a cart with its power cord attached; no operational testing is documented.
