Bosch Pack 102 Horizontal Flow Wrapper

Bosch (Bosch Packaging Technology, Inc., New Richmond, WI) Pack 102 horizontal flow wrapper, serial number 19-35573. The Pack 102 is a stainless steel horizontal form-fill-seal wrapper that folds a single web of film around a product, makes a continuous longitudinal fin seal and then cross-seals and cuts each pack at the rotary jaw head, producing individually wrapped pillow packs. This unit came out of a medical/pharmacy compounding facility (Central Admixture Pharmacy Services asset labels, photos 8 and 9). Nameplate data (photo 13): 208-240 volts, 60 Hz, single phase, full load amps 17 / 4800 watts, largest motor 2.4 A, short circuit current rating 5 kA, electrical diagram 8-110-988-944. The machine measures approximately 168 in long x 40 in wide x 72 in high overall including the infeed conveyor and overhead film reel support. Features visible in the photos include an overhead film reel unwind with multiple idler rollers and a powered film shaft, a long lugged infeed chain conveyor with adjustable side rails, product pushers and scaled adjustment indicators, an adjustable forming box/plow area under a clear polycarbonate guard, a gearmotor-driven discharge belt conveyor, and an operator console with color touchscreen HMI, two Watlow EZ-ZONE sealing jaw temperature controllers, start/reset/stop pushbuttons and an emergency stop. A film path label on the console notes the machine is arranged for an optional coder. The frame stands on casters with stainless leveling feet and carries a lockable main power disconnect on the control cabinet. As photographed, a roll of wrapping film is sitting on the infeed table and a red "OUT OF SERVICE - DO NOT USE" tag is attached to the control cabinet (photos 7 and 9); a supplier calibration sticker on the cabinet is dated April 2026.
