Equipment Description
Carl Zeiss Primovert inverted microscope (catalog no. 415510-1100-000, serial no. 3841016133), a compact benchtop inverted light microscope built for routine cell culture and tissue culture work - checking cell growth, confluence and morphology directly in flasks, dishes and multiwell plates. The instrument uses Zeiss LED illumination and is rated 12 V DC, 30 W from an external plug-in power supply; the rating label carries the CE and IVD marks. The unit is fitted with a binocular observation head with a pair of WF10X/20 widefield eyepieces (eyepiece tube 415500-1501-000) and an adjustable interpupillary scale, a four-position nosepiece, a fixed mechanical stage with a round central aperture and a plate insert, and a coarse/fine focus drive on the side of the stand. The condenser/illumination column with its phase slider is mounted above the stage in the usual inverted configuration. Objectives seen on the nosepiece in the photos are Zeiss Primo Plan-ACHROMAT 4x/0.10 Ph0, Plan-ACHROMAT 10x/0.25 Ph1, LD Plan-ACHROMAT 20x/0.30 Ph2 and Plan-ACHROMAT 40x/0.65, giving brightfield and phase contrast across the range typical of cell culture screening. Photographed in place on a laboratory bench. Condition was not recorded by the field rep, and no power supply, camera or other accessories are shown in the photos, so items beyond the stand, head, eyepieces and objectives pictured should not be assumed included. No functional testing is documented.
