Equipment Description
Despatch LAC2-12-6 laboratory oven from the LAC-6 high-performance series. The unit uses horizontal recirculating airflow, with a high-volume fan pushing air through perforated stainless steel chamber walls, to hold uniform temperatures for curing, drying, sterilizing, aging and similar process-critical laboratory work. The nameplate in photo 3 gives a maximum operating temperature of 260 degrees C (500 degrees F). The 12 cubic foot chamber measures approximately 23.8 in wide x 24 in deep x 36 in high per Despatch published data for this model. Electrically the unit is rated 240V, 1 phase, 50/60 Hz, 18.3 amps total, with a 3500 watt / 15.0 amp heater and two 1/4 HP circulation motors, as read from the data plate. The oven is mounted on a matching floor stand and the overall footprint is approximately 40 in wide x 34 in deep x 66 in high. Control is by a Despatch Protocol Plus programmable digital controller with an LED temperature display, an LCD program window, and indicators for power, heater, profile, timer, high limit and cycle complete, plus alarm and four output indicators. A manual exhaust damper lever (OPEN/CLOSED) is located to the left of the control panel and a main power switch to the right. The control display appears illuminated in photo 2. The unit is in a lab setting, freestanding on the floor, and carries the seller's internal asset tag. Cosmetic condition appears good with light soiling on the exhaust lever area. No shelves, accessories or service history are documented beyond what is visible in the photographs.
