Equipment Description
Eppendorf Centrifuge 5804 benchtop laboratory centrifuge, a general-purpose non-refrigerated unit for tubes, bottles and plates in a standard lab footprint. The nameplate identifies it as model 5804, serial 03219, built in 2002, rated 120 V / 10 A, 60 Hz, with a maximum speed of 14000 min-1 and a maximum kinetic energy of 19000 Nm. The unit is operated from a membrane keypad with an LCD readout showing program, rpm/rcf and time, along with Prog, Speed and Time keys, up/down arrows, rpm/rcf/rad selection, accel/brake settings, and Open, Start and Stop keys. It is a bench-standing, cord-connected instrument (IEC inlet at the rear) and carries cUL and CE markings on the rear nameplate. This is the standard 5804, not the refrigerated 5804 R version; no temperature controls are present on the panel. Photos show the chamber fitted with an Eppendorf A-4-44 four-place swing-bucket rotor with buckets in place, holding orange and blue tube adapters. A power cord is coiled in the rotor chamber. The housing carries a facility property tag, a preventive-maintenance/calibration sticker and a hand-written tape label reading "DO NOT leave balance tubes in centrifuge" from the prior lab. No operating test, service history or hour data was recorded at the time of the site visit; the unit was photographed sitting on a pallet during removal. Accessories beyond the installed rotor, buckets and adapters seen in the photos are not confirmed.
