Equipment Description
GE Healthcare AKTA Pure 25 is a benchtop fast protein liquid chromatography (FPLC) system for laboratory- and small pilot-scale protein purification. The 25 configuration uses two metering piston system pumps covering roughly 0.001 to 25 mL/min with a maximum system pressure of 20 MPa (2900 psi), and is operated through UNICORN control software from a connected PC. This unit's nameplate reads AKTA pure, code no. 29046669, serial no. 2119337, manufactured 2016/06, protection class IP21, built by GE Healthcare Bio-Sciences AB, Uppsala Sweden. The system is built up with high-pressure V9H series modular valves, visible on the front panel in the photos and labeled V9H-C (column selection), V9H-Inj (injection), V9H-Q and additional V9H valve positions, together with the UV and conductivity flow path, inlet/outlet tubing and a buffer tray on top of the instrument. Published specifications for the platform are 100-240 VAC, 50-60 Hz, approximately 300 VA typical power consumption, overall instrument dimensions of about 535 x 470 x 630 mm and a weight up to 53 kg excluding the computer, sample pump and fraction collector. Included with the system are a Fraction collector F9-C (code no. 29015408, serial no. 2105643, Mfg 2016/05, 32 V UniNet-9 interface, 18 VA) shown with its tube rack/cassette tray in place, and a Sample pump S9H (code no. 29050591, serial no. 2108082, Mfg 2016/06, 32 V UniNet-9 interface, 110 VA) with its twin pump heads and sample inlet tubing. A keyboard, assorted system tubing, cabling and flow-path fittings are also visible in the photos; no computer monitor or UNICORN license is confirmed in the images. The equipment was photographed disconnected and staged on wooden pallet boards at a biopharmaceutical facility. It ships as three separate pieces: the AKTA pure 25 chromatography unit, the F9-C fraction collector and the S9H sample pump. No functional testing information was recorded, so the unit is offered as-is for buyer evaluation.
