Equipment Description
Glas-Col 107A DPMINC12 incubated platform shaker (Micro-Expression Shaker), a benchtop pulsing/orbital shaker with an enclosed, temperature-controlled chamber. The nameplate on the rear panel reads Model 107A DPMINC12, Serial No. 11326484, 120 VAC, 60 Hz, 10 Amps, Made in USA. Glas-Col lists this model with a variable shaking speed range of roughly 150 to 1200 rpm and independent temperature control through a heat/cool module. The unit consists of a painted steel base housing the drive and controls, topped by a dark insulated chamber with a hinged front door and a large tinted viewing window. The Glas-Col digital front panel provides SELECT, up/down, and START/STOP keys with a numeric display for speed and time, and a separate Ascon Tecnologic temperature controller is mounted on the base at the left. Inside the chamber is a flat shaking platform fitted with adjustable clamp bars and two vertical support posts for securing vessels, plus a thermal module with fan mounted at the rear wall of the chamber. The rear of the unit carries the heat/cool module with finned heat sinks and cooling fan, an IEC power inlet, and a USB/communications port; the base sits on small casters. The chamber door carries the factory "SECURE LATCH BEFORE OPERATION" and "KEEP HANDS CLEAR WHEN IN MOTION" warning labels. Also present are a third-party service/calibration sticker, a facility property asset tag, and handwritten tape labels on the cabinet; these are from the prior user's site and are not tested claims. The unit came out of an R&D laboratory. No tooling, flask clamps beyond those shown, or documentation is confirmed beyond what appears in the photographs.
