The Agilent 8453 is a fast, single-beam diode array spectrophotometer that covers the UV-Vis-NIR range (190-1100 nm).

It is well-known for its rapid full-spectrum acquisition (under 1 second) and use of photodiode array technology for precision and stability.

The instrument has a 1 nm slit width, <±0.5 nm wavelength precision, and <±0.02 nm repeatability, making it suitable for quantitative analysis, kinetic investigations, and compound identification.

Chem Station software is commonly used to control it.
