Equipment Description

Molecular Devices QPix 420 Microbial Colony Picker

Molecular Devices QPix 420 automated microbial colony picker that uses imaging and a robotic picking head to pick and transfer colonies from agar plates into microplates for library screening.

Enclosed benchtop unit with a hinged, gas-strut-supported clear front lid.

The front control panel has a touchscreen, a START/STOP button and an emergency stop.

The deck holds multiple source and destination plate positions.

The gantry-mounted picking head carries an integrated camera.

The three-tray wash station is labeled Tray 1 1% bleach, Tray 2 water and Tray 3 70% EtOH.

The nameplate reads 100 V 50/60 Hz, 115 V 60 Hz or 230 V 50 Hz, 1250 W max, with fuses F1 250 V T10A H and F2 250 V T5A H.

The rear power inlet is labeled 240 V.AC.

The unit is CE and CSA (C/US) marked.

The nameplate gives a manufacture date of 1-2020 and says Made in China.

The unit has leveling feet and sits on a pallet in the photos.
