Equipment Description

Mytos iDEM Single automated cell culture system, device name “Impala,” currently configured with a Mytos Foxtrot automation device and a Thermo Scientific Heracell Vios 250i CO2 incubator.

The Foxtrot device was installed in September 2024. At installation, the Foxtrot system was upgraded to the latest specifications available at that time, levelled, calibrated, and verified at its final laboratory location.

The system is designed for automated adherent cell culture using T175 flasks. It supports automated seeding, feeding, passaging, and harvesting, together with remote browser based monitoring and integrated imaging. The installed iDEM Single configuration accommodates nine T175 flasks. Images are collected at configurable time intervals from predetermined positions within the flasks.

The integrated imaging system produces 8 bit greyscale images with a resolution of 2560 × 1920 pixels. Images are available in JPEG format. Images can be reviewed remotely through a browser, including on mobile devices. The system does not currently provide a customer API for direct image retrieval.

The system requires electrical power, a wired Ethernet connection, and a CO2 supply for the incubator. The current configuration also includes a UPS.

The equipment was purchased as a package that included one Mytos device, one incubator, one consumable set, and installation. The exact component inventory, serial numbers, Bayer asset number, current software status, manuals, accessories, and maintenance documentation will be confirmed before transfer.

Transfer feasibility, dismantling, transportation, recommissioning, network configuration, vendor support, and availability of compatible Mytos consumable sets must be evaluated by the receiving group.

The system is being offered first for internal redeployment. Equipment will be transferred in its current condition, subject to confirmation of the included components and completion of applicable 500asset transfer requirements.
