New Brunswick Scientific Innova U535 Ultra-Low Temperature Freezer

New Brunswick Scientific Innova U535 upright ultra-low temperature laboratory freezer, model U535-86, air-cooled version, manufacturing number U9430-0000, serial number F535LL431819, built in the United Kingdom and badged Eppendorf. The freezer provides approximately 18.9 cubic feet (535 liters) of ultra-low storage for biological samples, reagents and other research materials, with a published operating range of -50 degrees C to -86 degrees C and a stainless steel interior. The cabinet is a free-standing upright design on casters with a full-height insulated outer door and three inner compartment doors, as shown with the door open in photo 2. Cooling is provided by a cascade refrigeration system, with an R404A high stage (200 g) and an R508B low stage (284 g) plus an R290 additive (10 g) per the data plate. A front-mounted microprocessor controller with keypad and digital temperature display is set into the blue control band, and the unit carries CE and cUL marks. Electrical data from the nameplate: 115 volts, 60 Hz, single phase, 16.5 amps. Net weight on the data plate is 250 kg. An Elemental Machines wireless monitoring sensor and facility emergency-contact labels are attached to the outer door. The freezer was photographed in service at the seller's R&D facility (field notes: Lifordi NH lot 61 - Innova U535 ULT -80C Freezer). At the time of the site visit the control display was lit and reading -79 degrees C, and normal frost accumulation is visible on the inner doors. No other condition, service history or accessories are documented.
