The client is a leading pharmaceutical company focused on improving patient health through high quality and
innovative products. EquipNet has been working with this client for over ten years and has successfully managed a multitude of asset disposition projects across the globe.
A long-term client of EquipNet’s needed assistance with a complete biopharmaceutical site closure in Godollo, Hungary. EquipNet’s Specialists had to comprise a plan yielding optimum sell-through for over 600 assets.
Equipment included an array of lab and analytical instruments, and pharmaceutical processing and packaging assets, such as HPLCs, UPLCs, Spectrometers, Tanks, Vacuum Ovens, Flow Hoods, Autoclaves, Filling and Screw Capping Lines, Bottle Labelers, Vial Capping Machines, and more.
EquipNet provided an onsite inventory of the equipment, activated the listings onto the online MarketPlace for negotiated sale, and redeployed assets to other facilities in the client’s network, saving significant costs on unnecessary equipment purchases. A dedicated online auction event was also scheduled at a later date to ensure maximum sell-through.
The majority of the assets were sold, including over 130 in the auction event and 170+ through EquipNet’s MarketPlace, totaling €7.1 million in total sales. In addition, 350+ pieces of equipment were redeployed to other facilities within the company, yielding €3.3 million in cost savings.
