The client’s facility in Vallejo, Mexico City decided to conduct an efficiency project, which resulted in the decommissioning of multiple lines of manufacturing and packaging equipment, as well as some utilities equipment and other assets.
This facility primarily manufactures and packages laundry detergents and other household and personal care products. The client’s requested deadline was within four months and equipment to be sold included Conveyors, Pallet Wrappers, Pumps, Tanks, Flow Meters, Control Valves, Transmitters, Silos, and much more.
EquipNet provided an onsite inventory of the equipment; the assets were listed onto the online MarketPlaceTM and an online auction event was scheduled. The remaining assets that did not sell right away were placed on consignment in EquipNet’s warehouse.
EquipNet successfully sold the majority of the equipment within the client’s requested deadline. The remaining equipment was brought to EquipNet’s warehouse for consignment. The original sales expectations were far surpassed and the client was very satisfied with the results.
