The client is a leading drug development company with facilities spanning across more than 60 different countries.

The client reached out to EquipNet with assistance handling a massive clearance task at its facility in Union, New Jersey. Due to the stop-and-go nature of the disposition, EquipNet experienced some obstacles regarding target dates and overall management of the assets. Some of the equipment for sale also included full industrial plants, which presented some rigging and removal challenges.

This facility consisted primarily of over 1,000 industrial assets, including two gas turbine cogeneration plants, vacuum pumps, filter dryers, reactors, tanks, diesel generators, fermentor systems, and much more.

EquipNet designated an onsite team of over ten Equipment Specialists and Project Managers to handle the inventory, buyer inspections, and post-sale removals. The majority of the assets were listed onto EquipNet’s online MarketPlaceTM for negotiated sale and the remaining lower- valued pieces were placed in an upcoming auction event. In addition, the client was also able to redeploy 100 pieces of equipment to its other facilities.

Despite the obstacles EquipNet had to overcome, the client was very satisfied with the results of the project.
