Leading Global Pharmaceutical Client | Kfar Saba, Israel

The Client

The client is a leading pharmaceutical company focused on improving patient health through high quality and innovative products. EquipNet has been working with this client for approximately ten years and has successfully managed a multitude of asset disposition projects across the globe.

The Challenge

This client reached out to EquipNet for assistance selling an unused Optima Syringe Filling Line. The equipment was purchased new, but was no longer needed and had been sitting idle in the OEM’s facility. The client was seeking the best range of return possible for the unused asset and requested to sell the line in a quick and efficient manner.

The Solution

EquipNet’s project management specialists reviewed the piece of equipment and posted it for negotiated sale on our MarketPlace. EquipNet’s MarketPlace is recognized as the largest online venue for pre-owned manufacturing, processing, packaging, lab equipment and more. Additionally, EquipNet’s marketing team sent out various marketing emails to our extensive database of relevant buyers.

The line was active on the MarketPlace and receiving attention from a number of potential buyers for approximately 3 months when a sale was finalized. When the equipment arrived at the purchaser’s destination, it was noted that a necessary piece was missing from the asset. EquipNet’s team was able to successfully find that piece to ensure the buyer was fully satisfied with the equipment.

The Result

EquipNet generated a return of $2.2 million USD for the client which was more than the original expectation. Both the seller and the buyer were very happy with how the transaction went through and both continue to utilize EquipNet’s services for purchasing, selling and managing surplus assets.
