The client is a leading drug development company with facilities spanning across more than 60 different countries.

The client informed EquipNet about a full plant closure at its facility in Fortaleza, Brazil. Since this site was handling vaccinations, the entire facility had to be cleared and demolished, which included five buildings in total. The client requested clearance for its clean rooms and utilities equipment within three months and needed the remaining cleared within the following six months.

Equipment at this site included various laboratory and biopharmaceutical equipment, such as clean rooms, utilities equipment, vessels, analyzers, centrifuges, autoclaves, scales, microscopes, and much more.

EquipNet planned to sell the equipment on its two of its primary channels; the online MarketPlace^TM and a dedicated online auction event. In order to meet the client’s requested deadline, EquipNet worked closely with contractors to coordinate appropriately.

Using onsite support from our project management team and proactive sales efforts through our MarketPlace and auction channels, we achieved almost 100% sell-through on the client’s assets and surpassed the initial expectations. The client was very happy with the outcome and continues to utilize EquipNet for a number of asset management needs.
