DESCRIPTION:
The machine was designed for packaging cartons in the pharmaceutical market; in fact, it receives the individual cartons from an in-line conveyor, stacks them in a multilayer package, wraps them and seals them with a transparent band.

MAIN FEATURES:
The bander receives cartons which are transferred from the infeed conveyor through the side drive station and are automatically stopped in the stacker station. The stacker lifts the user-defined number of stacks (layers of cartons) into the push station. On the push station the stacked cartons are placed through the film, on the plate assembly beyond the stapling and sealing bar stations. The rear clamping station holds the cartons in place while the stapling station in combination with the film tensioning station wraps the cartons on all four sides with film. The sealing bar assembly is extended to create the continuous film loop around the pack. The machine resting on leveling feet is made of FDA approved materials such as anodized aluminum and stainless steel. The control of this machine is automated and this will be done via a PLC. The operator interface with the machine is created via HMI. On its screen, the HMI displays graphical and text information and provides soft buttons. Once user recipes have been set up on the HMI, they can be saved and recalled for future use. The machine program is written to optimize machine movements for speed and integrity of film sealing. The machine is composed of the following main groups: Feeding and grouping; Film unwinder; Sealing; Unloading; Electrical panel and HMI.

The machine was completely overhauled in 2021.
