RheoSense microVISC Portable Viscometer

RheoSense microVISC portable viscometer, model uVISC with part number HVROC-L, serial number H1310-00456-L. The microVISC is a handheld, battery-operated viscometer built around RheoSense's patented VROC (Viscometer/Rheometer-on-a-Chip) technology, which uses a MEMS pressure-sensor flow channel to measure true dynamic viscosity on very small samples - typically on the order of 100 microliters per measurement - making it suited to protein, biologic and other high-value formulation work in a biopharmaceutical setting. The unit has an integrated keypad and backlit alphanumeric display with power, RUN/STOP, MENU/ENTER and arrow keys for standalone operation without a PC, and it accepts the disposable/reusable VROC chip and pipette assembly that loads into the front of the instrument. Per the label on the underside of the housing, the instrument runs on 8.4 VDC and is to be used only with the supplied charger; the same label carries the CE mark and the US patent reference.
