Equipment Description
Shimadzu LCMS-8060 triple quadrupole liquid chromatograph mass spectrometer, coupled to a Shimadzu Nexera X2 UHPLC front end. The LCMS-8060 is a benchtop tandem (MS/MS) quadrupole system used for high-sensitivity quantitative LC/MS/MS work in R&D, bioanalytical and method-development laboratories, supporting MRM, product/precursor ion and neutral loss scanning with heated ESI-type ionization. The nameplate on the instrument reads MODEL LCMS-8060, CAT. NO. 225-27810-58, SERIAL NO. O11105300061AE, 230V~, 2 KVA, 50/60 Hz, Made in Japan. The mass spectrometer is shown with its ion source interface housing open, the CID gas pressure gauge (0.50-0.60 MPa) on the right side, and the rear gas manifold plumbed for nebulizing, drying, heating and CID gas. The front status panel carries POWER, STATUS, HEATER, GAS and HV indicators, and the unit is asset-tagged LCMS04. A Leybold/Sogevac SV65 BI FC rotary vane roughing pump sits on a tray beneath the bench and is connected to the instrument by a flexible vacuum hose. The Nexera X2 UHPLC front end photographed with the system includes a CBM-20A communications bus module, DGU-20A5R degassing unit, Nexera X2 LC-30AD solvent delivery pumps, a Nexera X2 SIL-30AC autosampler, a CTO-20AC column oven with FCV valve units installed, and a Shimadzu solvent reservoir tray. A Dell Precision T1700 workstation with Acer monitor and keyboard is pictured with the system as the data station. No field notes on condition, run hours or service history were provided, and the system was not observed powered on; it is offered as removed from an R&D laboratory with the components shown in the photographs.
